I am sure you have come across the fact that outside of working and seemingly, living in the fashion industry, I too have a passion for music. Which is why searching for a new band that vows to be worth a listen, is the ultimate treasure hunt. Surrounded by cringe-worthy pop and rap that you can only listen to after double digit cocktails, it is refreshing to hear bands who pride themselves in simplicity and raw talent. Several months ago I came across The Head and The Heart and The Lumineers. Both bands have a bohemian feel with a folk edge. I have posted a few videos that will be sure to be the tunes which win you over and turn you into an avid fan. I have had the pleasure of experiencing The Head and The Heart at Treasure Island Music Festival this past October - And to say it was enjoyable would be an understatement. It was literally a highlight of the weekend - whether it was the music I newly loved, the sunset highlighting SF's skyline behind the band, or the giant group hug that formulated in the crowd... It was all an incredible experience. So now, I will need to patiently await for March when The Lumineers will be releasing their new album... Hopefully a tour will follow soon after, until then I'll just have to stick to the boys' EP.

Also this past October (I'm just now catching up on all my posts, can you tell?), I attended Le Dîner à San Francisco. Originating in Paris, the idea is to have a pop up picnic, but on a grander scheme. Not knowing the location until hours before the event, attendees would dress to the nines in all white and create their own lavish meals in preparation. When the location was announced, everyone would descend upon the area with everything they would need for the evening in tow, and enjoy. Well, roomie/best friend, her family, and I did just that. The night was much more than I expected - an absolutely blast to say the least. People watching, the food, the bubbly - everything was top notch. I made a little video from the evening... And what better time to debut the video whilst roomie/best friend is actually in Paris right now.

Le Dîner à San Francisco is going to be an annual event, so head over to their website HERE, facebook page HERE, or twitter page HERE - to find out more.

This past October I went to San Francisco's Treasure Island Music Festival. With an amazing lineup I had high hopes, but never thought I would have as good a time as I did. I went with my 'music family', which consists of Skylar, Frances and Matthieu, whom I go to a lot of my shows with. With good friends and amazing music it was one of the best weekends I can remember. I am urging myself to make a compilation video for the whole weekend, but with as many projects as I have going on at the moment, that's going to take a bit... So in the mean time, here is a short little video showing how big a dance party the weekend was.

Last month, my little blog turned two years old. I was so busy that I failed to notice the anniversary. But I now wanted to now take time to thank everyone who has checked in, read religiously, and interacted with me. Without you all I would not have any content to post on.

In my first post I said, "I wanted to use this blog to keep my loved ones updated on life and adventures... Tune in, I'll do my best to keep this updated with Thoughts, Pictures, Music and Memories." I hope that I have done just that. Keep reading, because if the past couple years have taught me anything, each year is better than the next.

After a failed attempt at seeing Foster The People at Outside Lands this past August (too far away to truly enjoy), I got another chance to see one of my favorites up close and personal. The energetic, and not to mention adorable, band played at The Fillmore in San Francisco this past October and yours truly was psyched to score a ticket to the sold out event. The whole show was a true dance party whilst the band played their entire album, Torches. I have played this album out on my iPod to no end, but hearing it in person was a true pleasure. I took video of majority of the show, but rather than inundating you with clips - I'd like to share my favorite part of the entire show, the encore. The band played their overplayed, yet still enjoyable, hit 'Pumped Up Kicks'... But with a twist. Watch until the end to see the band add a dub step twist that still gives me chills.

Even after moving to the other side of the world, my amazing boss Lara (director of LARA INC.) still finds ways to keep me involved in the company.

LARA INC. produced the launch of the Kardashian Kollection in Sydney last month. Due to popular demand, Lara has been giving a behind-the-scenes look at what exactly it takes to put together each event. This time lapse video gives you an exclusive look as to how much time and energy is required to put on an event to this magnitude.
I was lucky enough to edit and put together this video for fans of LARA INC.
