I have too much to be thankful this year. From my family, friends, boyfriend, pup, the list goes on and on.
Mom: I couldn't imagine a better mom. Especially now, when I'm home sick and you're taking care of me like I'm 5 again. I love you.
Dad: I cannot wait to come visit and spend time with you in Italy.
KB: I am lucky to have a stepmom that love me as if I were her own.
Bowen and Avery: I am truly lucky to have two of the cutest little sisters around.
Alex: As much of a pain you are, I love my big brother and his backwards sense of humor.
Christopher: I could not imagine a better boyfriend or romance. I am lucky to have met you and am thankful everyday. I love you very much. I cannot wait to cook Thanksgiving dinner for you next year!!
Cara: our friendship is unique and odd and I love it. I could not have the conversations I have with you, with anyone else in the world.
Whitney: I love our friendship, I just wish I saw more of you!
Lula: My oldest friend in the world. Love you more than you know. Here's to another ten years : )
Kate: The ins and the outs, ups and downs, make our friends ship what it is. And thanks for going to Vegas with me to meet my soulmate.
Brookie: Since highschool, our advertures have been... interesting, to say the least. Here's to more sneaking out and jokes to be made.
CHO: Um, I love you. You're a constant in my like, and a fantastic friend. Whenever I need a text novel, I'll turn to you.
Stacey: Could running in to you be any more enjoyable ; )
Molly: I miss you every day that I am not in SF. You are my little eggie and my adoptive sister. Cannot wait to reunite.
Danielle: I talk to you more than the people in the same town as me. I love you mucho, my U of A sista.
Allison: Twinsies. This summer was a wild romance. I miss you everyday. Cannot wait to rekindle the flame, haha.

Remember to thank those who are meaningful to you.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I hope everyone is having a safe and happy holiday season.

Children wake up / hold your mistake up / before they turn the summer into dust.
Is there anything better than realizing you are lucky in every aspect of your life?

And even more pleasing is that it is not the luck where it will run out on that one rainy, unlucky day... It is the luck where I am just overly privileged to have an amazing family, boyfriend, friends, and plans for the future... among other things.

I would hate to be one of those "sugar-coated, life-is-perfect, sitting-on-a-rainbow" type people... but I find I am running out of excuses over why not to be... minus the stomach-ulcer-inducing-aspect.

There are always things that are going to suck. But focusing on those will only bring you down. I have been told this, I have known this, but I have never truly seen the benefit of being optimistic and open minded until this moment.

Life is good.

Make sure you thank those that make your life sweet, fabulous, and fantastic. What more perfect, cheesy, hallmark sponsored day than Thanksgiving.

Cheers to all and the optimism that brightens every day.

Where: My Atl House
When: Dec 19th; 7pm - until time for bars.

Please come to my parent's house in Atlanta on December 19th because we have A LOT to celebrate!!

On December 12th I will be graduating University of Alabama!!! WOOOO finally!! Then I'll be coming home for the holidays and to get ready to set off to Italy & move to Australia in February.

So please come dressed to impress and join me for a night of celebrations at my parents house for food and drinks, then when it dies down a bit we can head off to the bars!

I will miss all of yall very much when I'm gone for majority of 2010 and lets use this to have one last 'hoorah' before I set off.

For those of yall that aren't from Atlanta or nearby, you are MORE than welcome to come stay at our house for the whole weekend or just Saturday night... we have plenty of room!
My favorite response to my blog:

"you're blog is really cute... it made me want to pinch your little blog cheeks"

I have come to a realization: When I find myself in my quaint little one bedroom apartment, surrounded by candles, my little man cooper, discovering new music, researching new trends and informing myself on the places i will be visiting in the next year...
...on a Friday night...
...completely content...

This is when I know I am ready for my real life to begin.

On to new places, new people, and new experiences. Leaving all that is known and comfortable behind.

normal college students have a pre-graduation panic... is it bad that i havent?

well, it could be due to the fact that i will be busy traveling the world and seeing as much as possible, all beginning about two weeks after my graduation ceremony.

life is sweet.

i love my home.

x o D

I'm miles from where you are,
I lay down on the cold ground
I, I pray that something picks me up
And sets me down in your warm arms
After I have traveled so far

We'd set the fire to the third bar
We'd share each other like an island
Until exhausted, close our eyelids
And dreaming, pick up from
The last place we left off
Your soft skin is weeping
A joy you can't keep in

Real Life Begins in 3...2...1

With one month and two days until my real life begins, the panic and realities are beginning to set in. Although freaked, nothing is as good as realizing the stress and weight that has been on my shoulders for what has seemed my whole life will diminish.
I wanted to use this blog to keep my loved ones updated on life and adventures. After graduation on December 12th, I will be spending Christmas in Atlanta then soon after leaving for Italy. After adventures in Europe... it will be off to Australia! I cannot wait to explore that side of the world and see my love, Christopher on a daily basis.

Tune in, I'll do my best to keep this updated with Thoughts, Pictures, Music and Memories.
